This page explains how the riders book a trip with a Hopp Taxi. It is very good to familiarize yourself with this process to understand how everything works.
Booking the ride
First, open the Hopp app and select Taxis from the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Please note: If you do not see the Taxi option, taxi services are currently not available in your location.
Selecting destination and pickup
Then you select the destination as to where you want to go.
Here, you can either type in the destination and the search engine looks up the location, or you can manually select the destination on the map.
Selecting the type of fleet
Next you select the type of car (fleet) you want to drive with.
The options are:
Standard - A regular car for 4 passengers.
Electric - Same as regular, only electric.
Extra large - A car that seats at least 6 people.
Premium - High quality cars driven by proven professionals.
Currently unavailable:
Pool - Share a ride with other paying passengers.

Confirming pickup
After you have selected which type of fleet you want to ride with you confirm the pickup.
This is the exact location the driver will expect to pick you up on so make sure that you select the correct location here.
The app might hinder you from selecting a pickup location too far from your current location.
Additional charges
The price that you confirm here will be the charged amount for the ride. Additional fees may be added such as:
Waiting fee - if a driver has to wait long for you to enter the car.
Cancellation fee - you cancel the ride after the driver starts driving to get you.
Matching with a driver
After you have confirmed the pickup you wait while you get matched with a driver.
The system prioritizes drivers that are closest to your pickup location to minimize the wait time.
Cancel your ride
You can cancel your ride at any time before entering the taxi. Please note that a cancellation fee may apply if you cancel more than 2 minutes after being matched with a driver.
To cancel a ride after you have been matched with a driver, tap on top of the ride details drawer. There, you will find the Cancel Ride button at the bottom of the screen.
After you have entered the taxi there it is not possible to cancel your ride.
Riding
Once you have matched with a driver you only have to wait for them to come and pick you up.
Waiting for pickup
The app will let you know of any delays and you will be notified when the driver has arrived at your pickup location.
You can text and call your driver if you need to communicate with them about any specifics related to the pickup.
Once the driver arrives the app will indicate that and send you a notification.
Getting to destination
While you are in the car and driving to the destination this is the screen you should see.
Rate your driver at the end of the ride
At the end of the ride you have the option of rating the driver. Please rate them honestly and fairly.
