How to start the car?
Press the break pedal - the ID3 will automatically power on.
The dashboard will show ready, meaning the car is active and ready to drive.
How to select a gear?
In the ID.3, the gear selector is not in the center console.
It is a small rotating lever on the right side of the steering wheel.
How to change gear:
Make sure the ignition is on (press the break to wake the car)
Press the brake pedal.
Rotate the gear selector:
Clockwise β Drive (D)
Counter-clockwise β Reverse (R)
Light press to center β Neutral (N)
Button on the side β Park (P)
How to end a ride in Wolkswagen ID3?
Bring the car to a complete stop and press the brake pedal.
Push the Park button (on the end of the gear selector)
Turn off the car by pressing the Start/Stop button located to the right of the steering wheel.
Exit the car and end the trip in the app.
High Beams and Light Control
The light and high-beam controls are on the left stalk next to the steering wheel.
Push the lever front to turn high beams ON.
Push the lever back to turn high beams OFF.
A blue indicator light appears on the dashboard when high beams are active.
Turn Signals (Indicators)
Turn signals are on the same left-hand stalk as the lights.
Up = right turn
Down = left turn
Wipers & washer controls (left stalk)
The ID.3 uses the left-side stalk to control the windscreen wipers.
Controls typically include:
Intermittent wipe
Low and high-speed wiping
Rain-sensor mode (if equipped)
Washer spray β press the button on the end of the stalk
